EVENTS

The Society runs different types of events covering many aspects of wildlife and natural history.
          Indoor Speaker Meetings
         Field Outings
          [Moth Trapping]
          Pub Meetings

Field Outings

There is no need to pre-book on to a Field Outing unless otherwise stated. Members, as always, attend events at their own risk.
The description for each outing gives information on the route and activity, including the type of terrain, any steep inclines or descents and any obstructions, such as stiles. Please read the outing details to see if it is suitable for you. If in doubt, consult the Field Outings Organiser by email at:-
outings@chinats.org.uk
Children are welcome to attend if accompanied by a responsible adult.
Dogs are not permitted on Field Outings, the exception being for assistance dogs.
Please bring any personal medication and any refreshments as appropriate. It's a good idea for attendees to carry their emergency contact details.
Chi Nats always welcomes more volunteers to step forward to act as Leaders and suggest walks. You do not need to be an expert on wildlife, as there are always knowledgeable and helpful members in the group.

Thursday 18th September A BIRD WALK AT COBNOR, ON THE LOOKOUT FOR MIGRANTS
Leader: Robert Watson
Time: 10:00 for approximately 2hrs
Meet: At the ‘sunken' car park, parking as ‘prettily’ as you can
Grid Ref: SU 793 034   What3words: rejoined.caller.diamond

From A259, 1 mile west of Bosham roundabout, turn south into Chidham Lane, car park is a further 1.5 miles on the left.
A morning walk, over level but varied surfaces, with views over Chichester Harbour and the tidally inundated area near Cobnor Point. Most likely returning via woodland and farmland. Should be an interesting follow up to Diana Beale’s May talk/walk on the history and wildlife management of the area (see report on Chi Nats website.)

Mothing Mornings 2025

We unpacked the trap at 10.00 at the following locations on these dates. Detailed addresses were included in the email monthly updates sent to members.

Friday 23rd May - North Bersted , Bognor

Thursday 5th June  - Easthampnett.

Friday 25th July - Bosham
