Photographer Brian Henham doesn’t just produce superb wildlife calendars for Save the Children – he’s turned gems from his 20-year image treasury into a 67-page A4-size book glorifying the small garden (neighbouring Broyle Road and Northgate car park). Strategically deep in the carefully selected shrubbery he’s captured a zoom zoo, a lens collection embracing spiders, mayflies, dragonflies & damselflies, earwigs, grasshoppers & crickets, bugs, beetles, ladybirds, flies, ants, bees & wasps, butterflies & moths, centipedes slugs & snails, mammals & birds, a comprehensive balance of highly localised illustration and very informative text. below is a Marmalade Hoverfly from the book.
